‘Our goal from the start was to create a shoe that would give runners their best run ever. After taking design cues from New Balance Running’s rich heritage, we utilized the latest data in midsole geometries, materials, and upper technology to give the shoe an on-foot feel that is unmatched.’The 1080v13 project began as a reset for the model series. The team opted to really analyze every component, material, geometry consideration, etc. in order to achieve a new running experience. With this heightened refocusing effort, some new learnings were uncovered in the form of the FreshFoam geometry. The design team crafted a new tech platform definition update with this 1080 project, which extends to numerous other projects in the NB range.
